Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse position located in Jacksonville, Florida. This role involves providing specialized perioperative care within a busy hospital environment, supporting surgical teams during orthopedic procedures, trauma orthopedic surgeries, and other complex operations. The nurse will work in a fast-paced setting with a focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); orthopedic experience and trauma orthopedic experience required; TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification or TCAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation) required; no minimum years of experience specified.
- Certifications: BLS required.
- Unit Specifics:
- Number of Beds: 453
- Patient Ratios: 1 to 1 in the operating room
- Equipment: Orthopedic-specific tools and systems
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling: 3 twelve-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts, floating not required
- On-call: 6 call shifts per 4-week schedule
- EMR: Meditech
- Weekends: On-call shifts required
- Procedures: Arthroscopies, total joints, orthopedic trauma surgeries
