Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite | Weekend, holiday, and on-call required
Key Responsibilities- Provide quality patient care in an Operating Room setting, including assessment of clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs
- Utilize clinical equipment and instrumentation to maintain a safe and aseptic environment in the OR/ASU setting
- Recognize and respond to safety issues, including proper assessment and implementation of patient lift techniques
- Interpret lethal dysrhythmias and respond appropriately in high-acuity situations
- Function effectively in stressful situations, applying strong problem-solving and prioritization skills
- Assume charge nurse duties as required, including delegation and leadership of nursing staff
Required Qualifications- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current New York State RN license (must be in hand)
- Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to meet on-call requirements with a 30-minute response time
Preferred Experience / Skills- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Experience with MEDITECH electronic health records system
- Preceptorship, charge nurse, or formal leadership experience
