    Registered Nurse – Operating Room (RN OR)

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) | Five 8-hour shifts per week | One call shift per week | One weekend per month

    Key Responsibilities
    • Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate treatment effectiveness throughout the perioperative continuum.
    • Provide preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care including patient assessment and discharge instructions across a high-volume OR environment handling 20–30 cases per day.
    • Manage nursing care within the OR, coordinate the needs of the surgical team, and maintain a safe, sterile environment by monitoring personnel for adherence to aseptic technique.
    • Anticipate scrub nurse needs, open sterile packs, operate surgical equipment, and maintain accurate records; assist with gowning, draping, and patient positioning procedures.
    • Assist anesthesia during induction and emergence; safely move and transport patients throughout the perioperative process.
    • Perform endoscope reprocessing when assigned to the Endoscopy team; adhere to AORN and SGNA standards and sterilization guidelines.
    Required Qualifications
    • Current RN licensure in the state of Ohio or coverage under a compact license.
    • Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience required.
    • Hands-on experience with Orthopedics, Robotics (da Vinci), Endoscopy, Urology, and ENT procedures.
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.
    • Dysrhythmia exam completion required prior to start.
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • CNOR (Certified Perioperative Nurse) or SGNA certification preferred.
    • Completion of a Periop 101 or OR internship program preferred.
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
    • Familiarity with a broad surgical case mix including vascular, general surgery, spine, and podiatry preferred.
