Job Title
Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room Circulator
LocationStatesboro, Georgia
Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days – either 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) or 5x8-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM); call required (1–2 nights per week, first and second call, one weekend every six weeks)
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the circulating RN in the operating room, demonstrating critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in perioperative patient care
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other OR personnel to deliver safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and facility policies
- Ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are pulled and ready prior to each surgical case, supporting timeliness and efficiency of the OR schedule
- Communicate with patients' families regarding case status and serve as a liaison between the surgical team and other departments
- Maintain and update physician preference cards to reflect current surgical preferences and requirements
- Supervise and coordinate personnel involved in delivering patient care within the surgical suite
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience
- Demonstrated experience in Robotics, Orthopedic, General, and OB/GYN surgical cases
- Ability to fulfill call requirements including nights and rotating weekends
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in a high-volume or multi-specialty surgical environment
- Familiarity with scrub duties and the ability to assist physicians during surgical cases
