Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room Circulator

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13 Weeks | Days – Choice of 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM) or 5x8-hour shifts (7:00 AM–3:30 PM) | On-Call Required | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the circulating RN in the operating room, demonstrating critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in patient care planning and delivery
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other OR personnel to ensure safe and efficient surgical care in accordance with State Nurse Practice Act, AORN standards, and facility policies
- Pull and prepare supplies and equipment for surgical cases; ensure case readiness and timeliness
- Communicate with patients' families and provide updates throughout the surgical process
- Maintain and update physician preference cards as needed
- Fulfill on-call obligations per schedule, including three first calls, three second calls, and one weekend per six-week schedule
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Georgia
- Minimum of 3 years of Operating Room RN experience
- Experience in Robotics, Orthopedic, General, and OB/GYN surgical cases
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Ability to fulfill on-call requirements as outlined in the schedule
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience in a travel nursing or high-volume surgical environment
- Familiarity with circulating across a variety of surgical specialties
- Strong communication and organizational skills in a fast-paced OR setting
