Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Shreveport, LA

Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM – 3:00 PM) | Monday through Friday with rotating weekend coverage (approximately 1 weekend per 6 weeks) | Possible call shifts | Holiday coverage as needed

• Provide direct patient care in an Operating Room setting, including general surgical and trauma cases
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe, efficient perioperative patient care
• Participate in rotating weekend call coverage and holiday coverage as assigned
• Complete required facility orientation modules during scheduled orientation days
• Respond to emergency events as directed by unit management, which may include remaining at the facility during or after an emergency or serving on a relief team

• Active Registered Nurse license – Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Operating Room specialty
• AHA certifications required
• NURSYS report required and must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date)
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as verified by address on driver's license)
• Two Manager or Supervisor references required prior to start (Charge RN references not accepted; PDF format required)

• Experience in general OR and trauma cases strongly preferred
• BLS certification preferred; facility will provide BLS training if not currently held
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position

• Orientation is held five days a week and includes billable module completion time, supporting a smooth transition into the role
