Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Same Day Surgery / Recovery Room

Location

Reno, Nevada

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Travel | Full-Time | Onsite | 3 x 12-hour variable shifts, Monday–Friday, shift start times ranging from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM; 36 guaranteed hours per week; schedule may include weekends and holidays

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in a same day surgery and recovery room setting, utilizing the full nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Deliver individualized patient care and maintain accountability for patient outcomes across the entire episode of care
  • Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems while demonstrating knowledge of age-specific cognitive and psychosocial needs
  • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary professionals and incorporate family or significant others into the care planning process as appropriate
  • Apply intensive and continuous clinical judgment to ensure optimal patient safety and quality outcomes
  • Float to other areas within the organization as needed, up to personal competency level, and fulfill one additional shift per scheduling period
Required Qualifications
  • Active Nevada Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start date
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a surgery or recovery room setting
  • Demonstrated competency in age-specific care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience working in a high-volume or Level II Trauma Center environment
  • Familiarity with outpatient or same day surgery workflows and post-anesthesia recovery protocols
