Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) with Call | Onsite | May be required to float between campuses as needed
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for patient care in the operating room
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other personnel to deliver safe, high-quality patient care in accordance with State Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and regulatory standards
- Ensure availability and readiness of surgical supplies and maintain timeliness of cases
- Scrub and assist physicians during surgical procedures as required
- Communicate with patients' families and update physician preference cards
- Supervise personnel involved in the delivery of patient care within the surgical department
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience with demonstrated strength in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Robotics, ENT, General Surgery, and/or Urology
- Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification
- Experience floating between multiple surgical campuses or departments
