Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM | Evening, Weekend, and Holiday Call Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct perioperative nursing care across 4 operating rooms and 1 GI Endoscopy room, averaging approximately 10 cases per day
- Assist with a variety of surgical cases including robotic procedures, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, hernia repair, appendectomies, basic orthopedic, gynecologic, and podiatric surgeries
- Collaborate with OR technicians and first assistants who are staffed for most cases
- Respond to on-call needs within a 30-minute response time for weeknight, weekend, and holiday call shifts
- Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR
- Complete unit-specific orientation checkoffs and work alongside staff until clinical competency is established
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Kansas
- Current BLS certification
- Prior Operating Room nursing experience
- Ability to fulfill weeknight, weekend, and holiday call requirements with a 30-minute response time
- Must be present in-state for the full week of orientation
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with robotic-assisted surgical procedures
- GI Endoscopy nursing experience
- Familiarity with Epic EMR
