Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Fargo, ND

Contract | Onsite | 8–10 hour shifts with rotating call; rotation to PM shift included. Call required 1–2 days per week and every 3–4 weekends.

• Serve as a circulating nurse, providing documentation and direct patient care throughout the operative setting
• Perform sterile prepping of surgical sites, patient positioning, and catheter insertion
• Open and manage sterile supplies and set up operating room equipment as directed
• Document patient care activities within an electronic health record system (EPIC-based)
• Operate and assist with specialized equipment including cautery, lasers, laparoscopic and arthroscopy equipment, and Stealth navigation for neuro cases
• Float to alternate campus locations on a rare, as-needed basis

• Active RN license in North Dakota or valid Compact RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience in an acute care facility
• Experience in a large hospital setting with 250+ beds and Level 1 trauma designation
• Experience in a facility with 15 or more OR suites (outpatient center experience does not qualify)
• Strong experience in Neuro (craniotomies, spine) and Orthopedic surgical procedures, with willingness to work General OR cases

• Experience with robotic-assisted surgery, specifically the da Vinci surgical system
• Experience with General, GYN, and Urology surgical cases including laparoscopic procedures
• Familiarity with surgical navigation systems

• Work in a high-volume, advanced surgical environment with 25 OR suites averaging 75–100 cases per day across a broad range of specialties
• Scrubs provided on-site, supporting a seamless transition into this fast-paced, well-equipped OR setting
