Registered Nurse – Operating Room
LocationEau Claire, WI
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | On-site | 24-hour coverage with rotating weeknight, weekend, and holiday call requirements (30-minute call response time)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct perioperative nursing care within a 7-suite operating room environment handling 15–25 cases per day
- Support a wide range of surgical specialties including General, Orthopedics, Robotics, Plastics, ENT, Urology, C-section, GYN, and Endoscopy
- Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in weeknight, weekend, and holiday call rotations with a 30-minute response time requirement
- Float to the outpatient surgery center as needed to support departmental staffing
- Adhere to facility dress code; scrubs are provided and personal shoes must remain within the department
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- Current PALS certification
- Hands-on OR experience across multiple surgical specialties including Orthopedic Spine, Orthopedic Totals, General Surgery, ENT, Urology, GYN, C-sections, and Endoscopy
- Experience with Da Vinci robotic surgical system
Preferred Experience / Skills- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Experience working in a high-volume, multi-specialty OR setting
- Comfort with flexible scheduling and on-call responsibilities across varied shifts
