Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Shift start times vary: 6:45 AM–7:15 PM or 9:00 AM–9:30 PM | Weekend availability required | Holiday coverage required (2 of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an acute hospital Operating Room setting
- Perform scrub and/or circulating duties as required within scope of practice
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
- Participate in on-call coverage as needed for call-off situations
- Float to like units or affiliate facilities as needed to meet staffing requirements
- Adhere to facility compliance standards, policies, and patient safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of offer
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience
- Current BLS certification
- No first-time travelers; prior travel nursing experience required
- Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Willingness to work weekends and 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification
- CNOR certification
- Experience with Epic electronic health records
