Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS and CNOR preferred Must-Have: Epic experience required, strong preference for scrub experience in specified areas Description: This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience. Epic experience is required. Certified Nursing Assistant certification is preferred. The nurse will be responsible for surgical procedures including, but not limited to, ortho trauma, craniotomy, and trauma level II surgeries. Call requirements include 2 weeknights every 6 weeks and one weekend shift every month and a half. The nurse will float within scope to meet facility needs as required. Local candidates are not accepted due to a 75-mile radius rule. Pending licenses will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Time-off requests are limited to a maximum of 7 total days during the assignment. Certifications must include BLS, with ACLS and CNOR being strongly preferred. Skills required include experience with various surgical techniques and equipment. The nurse will work with diverse patient populations including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support will be available within the unit. A strong preference for scrub experience in relevant surgical procedures is strongly encouraged. Experience with the Epic charting system is highly preferred. Compliance with all required documentation and reference submission will be essential.
