Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse for a travel assignment in New York. This position involves providing comprehensive care to patients before, during, and after surgery in a variety of specialties. The role is crucial for ensuring the highest standards of patient care in a dynamic surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Operating Room Nurse
  • Provide 1:1 patient care across various surgical cases, including general surgery, orthopedics, and more.
  • Administer pre-op and post-op care addressing psychosocial and physical aspects related to surgery.
  • Execute circulating duties effectively and prioritize during emergencies.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and handling of surgical counts, specimens, and solutions.
  • Handle and document anesthesia-related care and equipment operation safely.
  • Communicate continuously with surgical team on patient conditions.
  • Maintain surgical standards and departmental procedures throughout pre-op, intra-op, and post-op stages.

Requirements of the Operating Room Nurse
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
  • 2 years or more of operating room experience preferred
