Description:
Ability to float to other facilities as needed.
Experience in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery (OHNS) and Craniotomy procedures is essential.
Familiarity with Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS), Plastic Surgery, and Dental Surgery.
Competence in combined Neurosurgery/OHNS procedures and free flap reconstructive procedures.
Experience with open and endoscopic surgical cases is necessary.
Previous charge experience is required.
Patient ratios are 1:1.
Charting experience with Epic is required.
Interdisciplinary support includes interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary.
Typical patient diagnoses include appendicitis, cholestasis, hernia, obesity, ureteral obstruction, thyroid cancer, liver cancer, and kidney cancer.
Special procedures performed include laparoscopic cases, robotic cases, and open belly cases.
The facility has a diverse array of surgical equipment available including the Da Vinci Xi Robot.
Flexibility regarding weekend coverage, with the expectation of likely one weekend shift per month.
Floating may occur to different departments or units based on job specifications.
Teaching hospital experience is required.
Modules are required and completed pre-start and annually.
