- Proficiency in scrubbing and circulating preferred
Description:
The RNFA is a highly trained Registered Nurse who must possess both CNOR certification and complete an accredited RNFA program.
This role involves collaborating with the surgeon and the healthcare team to ensure safe operations and optimal patient outcomes.
The RNFA practices perioperative nursing and must have the required knowledge, skills, and judgment specific to clinical practice in the operating room.
The RNFA operates collaboratively and under the direction of the surgeon during the operative phase of the perioperative experience.
When not assigned to the RNFA role, the RN will perform duties of the Operating Room staff RN.
This position includes evening call responsibilities and rotating holiday coverage, with no weekend shifts.
Robotic surgery experience in the following areas is preferred:
- Robotic Urology
- Robotic Gynecology
- Robotic Colorectal
- Robotic Surgical Oncology
- Robotic Thoracic
- Robotic General Surgery
The RNFA role combines both circulating and scrubbing responsibilities.
Candidates must hold a valid New York Registered Nurse license and have CNOR certification.
Candidates should possess robotic surgery experience and proficiency in perioperative nursing practice.
