Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 years of recent Operating Room experience in a community hospital or Trauma level 2 facility. License: Registered Nurse Licensure in California Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: - 2 years of circulating experience in a community hospital setting. - Experience in General Surgery, Orthopedics, Spine, Urology, Robotics, OB/GYN (C-sections), and Plastic Surgery. - Conscious sedation experience. Description: Local requirements vary. On-call is required. Expectations include being on call overnight on weekdays, weekends for 24 hours each day, and holidays for 24 hours per day. Experience administering and monitoring sedation is required. Candidates must be comfortable with GI cases and expected to do C-sections. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, and pharmacy. The unit consists of 5 rooms and cares for adult patients. The organization values infection control and patient safety. References obtained within the last year are required for candidates. Background policy requires disclosure of any background hits or DUIs prior to submission. Candidates must provide a 7-year work history verification. All certifications must be from an approved agency. Modules are non-billable, and time spent on modules exceeds the allocated hours for orientation.
