Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Must have an active state license in hand or be in the application process to apply Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Candidates must be open to on-call duties of 1-2 times per week; must be available for Monday to Friday shifts; no weekend requirements. Description: Position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse. No weekends required; Monday to Friday shifts only. First-time travelers are accepted. Active state license is mandatory prior to application submission. All requested time off will be reviewed and approved by management. The facility is an acute care hospital with capabilities as a Level I trauma center. Total staffed beds at the facility is 562. The unit operates as an outpatient surgical center. Procedures include orthopedic, podiatry, gynecology, plastic surgery, general surgery, and ENT. Patients are scheduled to be discharged by 1700 hours Monday through Friday. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services, among others. Patient demographics include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 20 patients with an average of 5 visits per day. Candidates will be expected to float within their skill set if necessary. Candidate must be able to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays. Required skills include familiarity with abdominal and vaginal hysterectomies, laparoscopic procedures, and urologic surgeries. Charting experience with specific electronic health record systems is preferred.
