Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required License: Active Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Experience with orthopedic procedures, including but not limited to ORIF (ankles, femurs, humerus), IM nails, and pelvic fractures. - Proficiency with cases such as laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic appendectomy, exploratory laparotomy, I&D, bariatric, colorectal, PEG, tracheostomy, and DaVinci cases. - DaVinci experience preferred. - Experience with oncology and neuro cases highly preferred. - Must be 100% nicotine-free. Description: This position requires an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse. The focus is primarily on orthopedic skill sets. The role may include night shift rotation with potential off-shifting. Weeknight and weekend call requirements apply. Call requirements average 1-2 nights/week and approximately every 4-5 weeks for weekends. Block scheduling cannot be accommodated. No first-time travelers will be accepted. Candidates must be more than 100 miles away from the facility. Travel experience is required. Preferred charting experience includes Epic. The unit handles a variety of cases, including orthopedic trauma and joint revisions. Candidates must demonstrate a wide range of surgical skills and the ability to adapt to fluctuating case loads.
