Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room Profession: RN Specialty: OR Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10 Hours Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Required Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice Certifications: Required CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor Must-Have: - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred - Required AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certifications - Comfortable with collaborating in a team environment - Ability to delegate and coordinate healthcare team duties Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a care plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the care plan and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers to provide care in a safe, humane, and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members.
