Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic settings License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Trauma experience Neurosurgery experience Vascular experience Orthopedic experience Description: This position requires Registered Nurses with extensive experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic procedures due to the nature of cases handled. Candidates may be required to cover one night shift within their contract as needed. RNs will be responsible for patient care during surgeries and ensuring all procedures are followed diligently. Charting will be conducted using the Epic system. The workflow may involve distributing on-call shifts equally among nursing staff every six weeks, which could include nights and weekends. Floating between units may be required based on operational needs. Candidates must be willing to work weekends as needed. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment. Candidates must have experience with specific surgical procedures and tools related to the operating room environment. Successful applicants should be prepared to handle a diverse patient demographic, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Healthcare team members will provide interdisciplinary support throughout procedures. This role is critical in ensuring safe and effective patient outcomes in various surgical specialties.
