Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 07:00 - 17:30 Experience: 2 years of OR RN experience required License: Nebraska RN License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Must have predominantly 3/4 in Ortho and/or Neuro skillsets. First time travelers not accepted. Experience with Lap chole, Lap appy, Ex lap, I&D, Bariatric, Colorectal, PEG & Trach, DaVinci cases required. DaVinci experience highly preferred. Oncology, Ortho, Neuro experience highly preferred. Description: Bi-Weekly orientation for Operating Room Registered Nurse on day shift with possible night shift rotation. There is a possibility for off-shifting once every 4-week scheduling period, but often there is no off-shifting. Weeknight call requirements average 1-2 nights per week. Weekend call requirements are approximately every 4-5 weeks for 24 hours on Saturday or Sunday, and 1-2 days per month. Block schedule cannot be accommodated. Experience in a wide variety of skills is required due to fluctuations in cases. Common cases include Ortho trauma, ORIF, IM nails, pelvic fractures, and revisions. Special procedures include decompressions, fusions, and laminectomies. This position requires Ortho experience along with general surgery experience. Travelers must comply with nicotine policies. All contracts must end on a Sunday, with work weeks running from Monday to Sunday. Experienced travelers must submit required compliance documents by the specified deadline. Travelers must go into labs within 48-72 hours from accepting the offer. Scrubs are provided by the facility, and mandatory nurse scrubs are required. Weekend requirements include 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period.
