Job Title: Operating Room RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday to Friday Hours per Shift: 8 hours, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM + Call Experience: Minimum 5 years of hospital experience required License: Required Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Robotics experience required; must be able to circulate in all specialties, including cardiovascular, neuro, ortho, and general cases Description: Profiles will go directly to the hiring manager for interview. Candidates may not have been previously employed by any facility in the past year. Candidates who were employed through outside firms will be considered. The unit manager prefers candidates with at least 5 years of hospital experience; do not submit candidates with less than 4 years unless they have exceptional references. Candidates must be able to float between campuses as needed. The shift is Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with on-call evening and weekend responsibilities. Candidates will be on call one evening a week and for two weekends per month. This position requires circulating cases in various specialties. Candidates must have experience with robotics, specifically the Mako robot for orthopedic cases and the DaVinci robot for general, urology, and cardiovascular cases. For cardiovascular cases, candidates must be able to circulate CABGs, with scrubbing experience being a plus. Experience with neuro cases, particularly craniotomies, is essential as these may occur frequently after hours. Candidates should also be able to handle orthopedic trauma cases and total joint replacements. Experience with open belly and trauma cases is necessary for general surgeries. Additional specialties include experience with vitrectomies, ERCPs, colonoscopies, EGDs, cystoscopies, stent placements, and TURPs. Call outs are strongly discouraged and may lead to termination. Staff may be required to precept as needed by the unit. The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts for 13-week assignments.
