Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an acute care setting within the last 3 years in the specialty License: State RN license required Certifications: BLS required (AHA only), PALS preferred Must-Have: Pediatric OR experience Ambulatory OR experience Pediatric trauma experience Description: Interview availability is required for this position. On-call requirements include 1x every 6-8 weekends. Weeknight on-call is 1x a week, Monday through Thursday. Holidays are required as operationally needed. Candidates must have experience with pediatric operating room, ambulatory operating room, and pediatric trauma. BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required. Pediatric experience is mandatory for consideration. Strong skills in the administration of blood products, ambulation procedures, and various surgical interventions are necessary. Candidates must be proficient in charting systems, specifically Epic. All candidates must pass telemetry competency testing with strict passing criteria on first and second attempts. Candidates need to have a high level of competency in telemetry, focusing on identification of lethal rhythms and responding to cardiac emergencies. This position requires a commitment to infection control and safety practices. The applicant should be prepared to float to other units as required. All candidates must be willing to adhere to strict call and weekend rotation policies.
