Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: - Minimum of 3 years recent experience in the operating room - Level 1 experience desired License: - Compact or state license required at time of submission Certifications: - BLS required Must-Have: - Experience in Total Joints, Ortho Spine, Gyn, and MIS required - Local travelers within 100 miles are not accepted Description: Staff will be expected to work in a variety of specialty areas. Call policy includes response time of 40 minutes. Weekday call is from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Weekend call is from 7:00 AM Saturday to 7:00 AM Monday. A rotating list for choosing call will be utilized. In the first 6-week schedule, there will be 2-3 calls during the week. In the next 6-week period, there will be one weekend call. Compliance requirements include BLS, Basic Math exam, OR Competency exam, and No-Medication exam. Candidates may float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. There is a return staff policy that requires a 6-month absence before returning as a traveler. Licensure hits will not be accepted. It must be noted if applicants have previously worked for this facility. Rehire eligibility will be checked weekly and can affect traveler status.
