Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures
  • Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments and sterile supplies
  • Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures
  • Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with surgical safety standards
  • Monitor patient conditions throughout the perioperative process
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Maintain accurate and timely surgical documentation
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and healthcare teams
Requirements
  • Active RN License in Texas
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience
  • BLS Certification required
  • ACLS Certification preferred
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
