Description:
Please ensure the traveler is aware of the following:
Upon accepting an assignment and starting the role, the unit manager may assign the traveler to an "Emergency Team."
There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the emergency event passes or to be part of the relief team.
Specific details pertaining to pay will be communicated during each emergency event, as impacts may vary.
By signing the travel contract to take a position, the traveler accepts the above and must report as assigned by the immediate unit manager if an emergency occurs.
Travelers should only apply for this role if they are comfortable with the stated conditions.
The unit handles 10-25 cases per day across 7 rooms.
Call is required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
There will be 2 weekends required in a 6-week schedule.
The facility requires the COVID-19 vaccine, with exemptions for medical or religious reasons only.
The flu vaccine is also required, with similar exemption options.
Travelers must have 2 years of experience in the specialty field for submission.
References are not required for submission, but two supervisor references will be needed for clearance.
Modules may be billable and completed during orientation.
Resources who have worked as permanent employees must be separated from the facility for one full year before returning as travelers.
