Staff Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients across the age spectrum within the Surgical Services Department; supervises and coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Staff Nurse-R.N.Float Nurse------ Director of Peri-operative Services Licenses and Certifications Professionalism and Self-Development Education and Qualifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Credentials in area of practice preferred, such as CNOR, PANAC, and AAOPU for Outpatient. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: all Patient Care personnel must be initially certified prior to patient care and recertified every two years in American Heart Association BLS. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: ACLS - all registered nurses employed in Nursing Supervision, Med/Surg, Emergency Department, Perioperative Services and ICU must be initially certified within six months of employment and recertified every two years in ACLS. PALS - all Registered Nurses in ER must be initially certified. Med/Surg, Perioperative Services and ICU must be initially certified within six months of employment and recertified every two years in PALS. All BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certified personnel are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the crash cart. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: Has a current California RN license. Function as a scrub, circulating or float nurse in the operating room as assigned. Refer to O.R. Maintain a professional, dignified atmosphere within the unit. Maintains and meets expectations on time for all competencies, license, certifications and education requirements as outlined by local administration, Adventist Health (AH), The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and all other regulatory agencies. Maintains established hospital-wide and departmental policies and procedures, departmental objectives, Participates in site identification process and time out on each case. Performance Improvement program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Provide optimal physical and emotional environment for the patient. Required Qualifications
Registered Nurse, OR Experience: 2 years Licenses: RN-CA Certifications: ACLS; BLS; PALS References: 1 Reference in the last 12 months Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
BLS ACLS. PALS
Has a current California RN license.

Preferred Qualifications
Credentials in area of practice preferred such as CNOR PANAC and AAOPU for Outpatient
