Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:45 - 19:15) Experience: 2 years of neuro experience required License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Neuro experience required Description: Position/Specialty: OR RN Start date: ASAP Shift: 0645-1915; includes a Saturday work shift, no call Ratios: N/A Years of experience required: 2 years First-timers accepted: Yes Weekend requirement: Yes, includes Saturday work shift Floating within Hospital: Yes Floating to sister hospitals: No Patient Population: Orthopedic sports cases, minimally invasive arthroscopic, laparoscopic cases, robotics, general, GYN, URO, and plastics. Experience with neuro, spine, thoracic, and vascular is a plus. Very busy, high acuity academic environment. Average daily census: 50-75. Number of operating rooms: 28. In the event of low census, healthcare providers may be called off without charge or placed on-call. Very experienced circulating RN is needed. Experience circulating in multiple specialty areas such as GYN, general, URO, plastics, OTO, robotics, ortho, neuro, spine, thoracic, and transplant. Candidates must possess neuro, ortho, or general surgery skills as required by the open position. Looking for a well-rounded circulating RN who is experienced or willing to learn all specialties. Call responsibilities include circulating across all service lines. Modules may be required before the start. Candidates must have patient-oriented values and be prepared for a dynamic working environment.
