Description:
The registered nurse will work in the operating room.
Ratios include 9 rooms.
No floating between units is required.
On-call responsibilities include 2 night calls and 3 weekend calls per month.
Weeknight night calls run from 11 PM to 7 AM.
Weekend call shifts are available during 7 AM to 3 PM, 3 PM to 11 PM, or 11 PM to 7 AM.
A block schedule is not available.
This facility is a Level 1 Trauma and teaching hospital.
Total staffed beds in the facility is 228.
Charting is done using a specified system.
Interdisciplinary support includes interpretation services and unit secretaries.
Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics.
The daily census in the unit averages around 25.
Special procedures include a variety of surgical specialties.
Experience with robotic surgery and specialized equipment is preferred.
Training will be provided as needed for specific procedures.
