Job Title: Operating Room RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room / Scrub, Operating Room / Circulation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday plus call Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum of two years of perioperative experience required License: Current RN license required Certifications: Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required Must-Have: Strong clinical judgment, communication, and critical thinking skills Description: As an Operating Room RN, you will provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care across all phases of the surgical experience, including pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-anesthesia recovery. This dynamic role requires versatility, as you will serve as a circulator, scrub nurse, and PACU nurse. You will have opportunities to cross-train and expand your clinical skill set. In this critical access hospital setting, your contributions are highly visible and directly impact patient outcomes. This position includes participation in the on-call rotation, requiring one night per week and every fourth weekend. When on call, you are required to respond and be ready to begin a case within 30 minutes. You will deliver perioperative nursing care across all surgical phases, including pre-op preparation, intraoperative care, and PACU recovery. You will function in multiple roles to support safe and efficient surgical operations. You will ensure patient safety and clinical excellence through adherence to established standards, accurate documentation, and participation in surgical safety processes such as time-outs. Collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the interdisciplinary team will be essential in delivering coordinated, high-quality patient care.
