Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in Operating Room; General, Ortho, Neuro, Trauma, and ENT experience needed; Pediatric experience preferred. License: Active Registered Nurse license required. Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS required. Must-Have: Previous charge experience and proficiency in Cerner charting system preferred. Description: The position requires an Operating Room Registered Nurse with experience in various surgical specialties. General, orthopedic, neuro, trauma, and ENT experience are essential. Pediatric experience is preferred, but not mandatory. Call responsibilities are part of the position, requiring flexibility in scheduling. The nurse will work 3x12-hour shifts with rotating days off. Schedules will vary weekly, and block scheduling is not available. The average call requirement is 3-6 days in a 28-day cycle. Weekend coverage involves averaging every 4th or 5th weekend. The daily patient census ranges between 35-40. Candidates should possess skills in a variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and spinal fusion. Skill in utilizing advanced surgical systems such as the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System is advantageous. The nurse will provide care for adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics as required. Interdisciplinary support may be involved in patient care. An on-site drug screening may be conducted as part of the hiring process. Candidates must ensure compliance with all job requirements and responsibilities.
