Job Title: Registered Nurse
Primary Purpose
The Registered Nurse Resource Team provides comprehensive nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes
identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies, procedures, and/or
protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. The RN Clinical Nurse/RT assists in maintaining a safe work environment and
performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. The Registered Nurse Resource Team maintains clinical and professional
competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.
Must be available to provide nursing services in all patient care areas of expertise and knowledge, at all elected facilities.

A registered nurse's practice is guided by the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.

Major Responsibilities
Collects pertinent data and information relative to the healthcare consumer's health or the situation.
Analyzes the assessment data to determine the actual or potential diagnoses, problem, and issues.
Identifies expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the healthcare consumer or the situation.
Develops a plan that prescribes strategies to attain expected, measurable outcomes.
Implements the identified plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe

environment.
Delegates elements of care to appropriate healthcare workers in accordance with any applicable legal or

policy parameters or principles.
Evaluates progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.

Practices in a manner that is congruent with cultural diversity and inclusion principles.

Minimum Job Requirements
Education

Graduate from an accredited School of Professional Nursing.

Certification / License
Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license approved by the Georgia Licensing Board for GA locations and
Alabama Licensing Board for AL locations.
BLS required.
ACLS required.

Work Experience

2 years of nursing experience in specialty area required.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift
and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak English in good,
understandable terms. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, touch. Finger dexterity.
Critical thinking and ability to concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
Physical Abilities Testing required.

o No Trauma Designation

o Not a Teaching Hospital

o Not a Chest Pain Center

o Not currently Stroke accredited

o Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

Unit Information:

o Beds: 3 ORS

Census? Around 10 per day

o Minimum Years of Experience required? 3 years of acute OR experience

o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

o Mostly adults, could see some peds ENT patients

o General, GYN, ortho (total joints, ORIFs, sports medicine upper extremity), urology

o Robotics: Healthcare Hugo (experience not required)

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.)

o BLS

Skills required:

o Experience with above patient types

o Will circulate, would prefer someone who can scrub

o Must be comfortable working independently as will be only RN on callback

o EPIC experience

Support within the Department:

o Charge RN (not on callback)

o Leader always available, via phone after hours

o Administrator for Hospital available

o Scheduler for scheduled cases

o 5-6 RN, 4-5 Surgical Techs during the day

o Anesthesiologist/CRNA 24/7

o RT 24/7

o Hospitalist 24/7

o Med dispensing: Omnicell

10h shift - 0630-1700, rotating day off each week

Cannot guarantee a block schedule, but try to work with traveler as much as possible

o Schedule cycle: Scheduler makes the schedule in 6-week increments
