Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 18 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Experience in Ambulatory Operating Room - Competency in Ear/Nose/Throat procedures including endoscopic sinus procedures, laparoscopic assisted cases, laryngectomy, mastoidectomy, tympanoplasty, stapedectomy, radical neck dissection, scrub for ENT surgery, septoplasty, rhinoplasty, tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, and tracheostomy - Pediatric Ear/Nose/Throat skills including myringotomy with tubes, scrub for pediatric ENT surgery, and tonsillectomy/adenoids - Emergency management skills, including code response, fire safety, latex allergy management, and malignant hyperthermia awareness - Knowledge in specimen handling, labeling, and universal protocol Description: This position is for an Operating Room Registered Nurse with a focus on ear, nose, and throat procedures. The role requires a minimum of two years of experience in an ambulatory operating room setting. Candidates will be expected to perform various surgical procedures, with a strong emphasis on ENT surgery. Experience with pediatric surgeries is also required. Emergency response skills are necessary for managing potential complications during procedures. The position is in a fast-paced environment specializing in ENT and eye surgeries. Candidates may float to other centers as needed. No weekend requirements are associated with this role.
