Must-Have:
Robotics (Davinci) experience is required.
Experience in Neuro Spine and Neuro Vascular surgeries is required.
Familiarity with general surgeries such as Lap Chole and Nephrectomy is necessary.
Bariatric surgery experience is preferred.
Transplant experience is strongly preferred.
Cardio/Thoracic experience is strongly preferred.
Description:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room.
The RN will circulate and may scrub if they have the necessary experience, but this is not required.
Patient types include Robotic, Bariatric, Neuro-Spine, Neuro Vascular, Urology, and Transplants.
The RN will be expected to participate in the following case types:
Robotic procedures including Laminectomy, Fusion, Discectomy, Craniotomies, and Aneurysm clipping.
General surgeries including Lap Chole, Nephrectomy, and Whipple procedures.
Bariatric surgeries including Roux-en-Y and gastric sleeve.
Urology procedures such as Cystos, TURPs, bladder tumor resection, and stone removal.
Transplant cases preferred for kidney, liver, and pancreas.
The RN will need to pass an EKG competency exam as part of compliance prior to arrival.
The Surgical Tech will need experience with the case types mentioned.
The First Assist will also require experience with the mentioned case types.
Support on the unit is provided 24/7 by RT and an anesthesia team during weekdays.
Coverage is available by a designated nursing team and supervisors.
Flexibility in schedule is necessary, including weekend and on-call duties.
Call requirements are one day per week and one weekend per month.
Holiday call coverage is also required.
Team orientation is emphasized.
Scrubs will be provided for daily use.
