Must-Have: - Associate’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing, or higher, required. - Minimum one-year licensed RN experience in OR or, alternatively, enrolled in a relevant program with required completion. Description: This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies. The role is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered, utilizing professional nursing practice standards. The position utilizes specialized knowledge and judgment necessary to assess data and plan care for assigned patients. Essential functions include assessing physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs of patients. Reviews patient history and ensures completion within an appropriate timeframe. Completes assessments and reassessments according to patient needs and policy. Formulates a plan of care, including discharge planning, using assessment data and input from the patient, family, and health team. Goals are realistic and measurable and developed collaboratively with the patient and family. Plans care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members. Implements the plan of care through direct patient care and coordination with the health care team. Evaluates the patient’s and family’s response to care and revises the plan of care as needed. Documents assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in the patient record in a timely and legible manner. Provides care based on the best evidence available and may participate in research activities within clinical practice. Participates in the education, development, and orientation of personnel, patients, and families. Contributes to quality patient outcomes through effective, safe care. Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory, and accreditation requirements. This position interacts with various levels of staff and external contacts to ensure quality patient care. Physical demands include the ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach frequently. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics for patient assistance. Requires effective communication skills for reading, writing, and speaking. May require periodic computer and office equipment use.
