Job Title: RN OR Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Candidates without the following skills will not be considered for the role: Experience in the Operating Room. Neuro and Ortho/Spine experience is required. Labor & Delivery experience is not applicable. Description: This is a travel position for an RN in the Operating Room. The shifts are from 07:00 to 19:00. The call requirement is one day a week and one weekend a month. The unit has 7 OR suites and a staff of approximately 45. Day shift consists of 1 charge RN, 6-7 RNs, and 6-7 CSTs. Night shift consists of 1 RN and 1 CST. Patient ratios are estimated to be 1:1. The type of equipment used is varied, and the EMR system is Meditech. Candidates with trauma center experience and extensive ortho experience will be preferred. Typical procedures performed include ortho, neuro, robotics, general, trauma, and urology surgeries. We are looking for team players with a positive attitude. Dress code requires change into hospital-provided scrubs each day. The role may include floating to other areas as needed. The call requirement may be about 10 days a month but up to 15 days for CVOR positions. Candidates should be aware of weekend and on-call expectations.
