Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures
  • Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
  • Maintain sterile technique and ensure adherence to surgical safety standards
  • Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff during procedures
  • Monitor patient status throughout the surgical process
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Document patient care and surgical activities accurately and timely
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety protocols
Requirements
  • Active RN License in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience
  • BLS Certification required
  • ACLS Certification preferred
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and sterile technique
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
