Job Title
Registered Nurse – Oncology
LocationOmaha, NE
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights (4x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30) | 13 or 26 week contract options available | 36 or 48 hour weekly options available
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed oncology unit serving adult progressive surgical, oncology, palliative care, and progressive acute care patients receiving chemotherapy
- Administer and monitor IV drips as required across all floors
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Float within scope to meet facility staffing needs across various units and campuses as required
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, swoop/paramedics, and LPNs where assigned
- Adhere to weekend and holiday scheduling requirements, including 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period and 2 of 3 major holidays
Required Qualifications- Active or pending Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Nebraska (pending license accepted; if not in hand at time of submission, start date will be booked six weeks out)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Proficiency with EPIC charting required
- Experience administering IV drips required
- Candidate must reside more than 100 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center
- Background in oncology, palliative care, or progressive acute care nursing
- Familiarity with high-acuity, complex patient populations
