Job Title
Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology / PCU
LocationOmaha, NE
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a mixed PCU, Oncology, and Med/Surg unit serving an adult patient population
- Manage and titrate drips including insulin, cardizem, heparin, protonix, and chemotherapy agents
- Monitor and respond to hemodynamic parameters including CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000, and ICP as needed
- Perform hourly rounding and maintain patient experience standards throughout each shift
- Float to same-level-of-care Med/Surg and PCU units as needed
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case management, social work, dietician, and charge nursing staff
Required Qualifications- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Oncology and/or PCU settings
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ONS/ONCC certification required
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR (experience within the past 6 months preferred for orientation purposes)
- Must successfully pass a facility orientation skills exam with a minimum score of 90%
Preferred Experience / Skills- Chemotherapy certification (preferred but not required)
- Experience with Alaris IV pumps and ventilator management
- Prior charge nurse experience of at least 1 year (required if applying for charge nurse role)
