Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology / PCU

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult Oncology and Trauma PCU patients on an 18-bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–1:5
- Administer and monitor chemotherapy, Heparin, Cardizem, Protonix, and other drips including titration of Insulin and Cardizem infusions
- Manage patients requiring high-flow respiratory support and operate Alaris IV pumps and Lyko lift equipment
- Perform hourly rounding and conduct bedside shift report as part of patient experience standards
- Float to other Med/Surg and PCU units at the same level of care as needed to meet unit demands
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including Nursing Assistants, Charge Nurse, PT/OT, RN Case Manager, Social Worker, Educator, and Dietitian
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
- Willingness and ability to pass a unit-specific open-book skills exam with a score of 90% or higher during orientation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Oncology nursing experience preferred; strong PCU experience without Oncology background will be considered
- ONS/ONCC certification preferred but not required
- Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required
