Job Title
Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology / PCU
LocationOmaha, NE
Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a mixed PCU, Oncology, and Med/Surg unit serving an adult patient population
- Manage and titrate drips including chemotherapy, heparin, cardizem, and protonix
- Monitor patients utilizing hemodynamic equipment including CVP, A-line, Swan, and EV-1000
- Perform hourly rounding and maintain patient safety standards in accordance with unit protocols
- Float to same-level-of-care units (Med/Surg and PCU) as needed
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT/OT, case management, social work, dietary, and charge nursing staff
Required Qualifications- Active RN license with a minimum of 1 year of Oncology and/or PCU experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- ONS/ONCC certification required
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR (recent experience within 6 months preferred for orientation purposes)
- Experience with Alaris IV pumps
- Willingness to work every other weekend and adhere to self-scheduling requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills- Chemotherapy certification (preferred but not required)
- Prior experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000; on-the-job training available)
- Charge nurse experience (minimum 1 year preferred for charge nurse consideration)
