Key Responsibilities
  • Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, delivering competent nursing care across a range of simple to complex health conditions.
  • Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes in physician orders for assigned patients.
  • Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes patient manifestations, and intervenes when necessary.
  • Administers medications as prescribed and initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
  • Educates patients and families on care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions; makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Delegates tasks to support staff and assists physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience.
  • Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration certification from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a Board Approved Program.
  • Strong ability to organize, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques effectively.
