Travel RN – Med/Surg/Oncology (Night Shift)

Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on an 18-bed Blood Cancer unit with a patient ratio of 3–4:1 on night shift
- Administer medications, blood products, and electrolyte replacements in accordance with unit protocols and standing orders
- Operate and monitor telemetry, bladder scanner, Alaris pumps, and Alaris PCA equipment
- Assist with and support procedures including lumbar punctures, bone marrow biopsies (with and without conscious sedation), and thoracentesis
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Safely handle hazardous drugs and follow established protocols for excreta management; administer chemo/biotherapy only if certified
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of current, acute care hospital experience in either Med/Surg or Oncology (both specialties are accepted)
- Ability to work night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Comfort working with highly acute hematology patients and managing standing orders
Preferred Experience / Skills- Chemo and biotherapy certification
- Step-down or progressive care experience, particularly with fluid bolus and first-fever protocols
- Compassionate approach to oncology and chronic patient populations
- Adaptable, quick-learning personality with strong team collaboration skills
