Registered Nurse – Surgical Oncology MIU / Step Down Unit

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Rotating Shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday | 36 Hours per Week
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Surgical Oncology Medical Intermediate Unit and Step Down setting
- Monitor and assess patients requiring step-down level care following surgical oncology procedures
- Perform telemetry monitoring and respond to changes in patient cardiac status
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio or compact license eligibility
- Experience in oncology nursing
- Experience in step-down or intermediate care unit nursing
- Experience with surgical patient care
- Telemetry monitoring competency
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience in a Surgical Oncology or Medical Intermediate Unit (MIU) environment
- Familiarity with post-surgical oncology patient management and care protocols
