Registered Nurse – Oncology

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 5x8-Hour Days | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities- Serve in a triage-focused role within an outpatient oncology clinic, supporting patients with Medical Oncology and Non-Malignant Hematology diagnoses
- Coordinate care and communicate with patients regarding their treatment plans and follow-up needs
- Conduct patient education and provide clinical guidance in alignment with provider direction
- Triage incoming patient phone calls and communicate results to patients as directed
- Work in direct support of 1–2 assigned providers, managing approximately 20 patient visits per day across 4 rooms
- Float to similar outpatient centers or clinics as needed
Required Qualifications- Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact state
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
- Outpatient Oncology experience required
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records required
- BLS certification required
- Must provide own stethoscope
Preferred Experience / Skills- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification
- Experience with chemotherapy administration and IV starts (note: chemo/infusion is not performed at this location)
- Familiarity with SBAR communication framework
