Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Outpatient | Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. | Five 8-hour shifts per week | No on-call requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients at each clinic visit and manage symptoms related to cancer diagnosis and/or treatment
  • Educate patients about their disease, treatment plan, and care continuum
  • Assist with procedures in the outpatient clinic setting
  • Rotate between phone symptom management and coordination duties and direct clinic patient support on an alternating schedule
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including medical oncologists, advanced practitioners, surgical oncology, and radiation oncology to ensure timely diagnostic evaluation and treatment
  • Navigate patients through the care continuum under the direction of the oncology department manager
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
  • Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience
  • Strong organizational skills and effective verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Epic/Beacon EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Chemotherapy certification
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification
  • Experience with hematological malignancies and breast malignancies
