Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy and supportive care treatments safely and according to protocol, monitoring patients closely for reactions and effectiveness
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document changes in condition to guide timely clinical decisions
- Utilize the acuity scale to prioritize patient needs and support appropriate staffing
- Coordinate and collaborate with oncology providers to implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide clear patient and family education about treatments, side effect management, and self-care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate effectively across the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- BLS certification — REQUIRED and must be current
- ONS or ANCC oncology certification — preferred
- Experience administering chemotherapy and providing supportive oncology care
- Comfort using an acuity scale for staffing and prioritizing care
- Proven ability to collaborate closely with oncology providers and the broader care team
- Willingness to meet Regional West performance expectations for travel assignments
