Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse:
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to hematology and oncology patients receiving chemotherapy, transfusions, and complex treatments
- Administer medications, chemotherapy agents, and supportive therapies as prescribed
- Monitor and assess patient responses to treatments, promptly reporting changes
- Collaborate with oncologists, hematologists, and multidisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal outcomes
- Maintain detailed, accurate documentation in compliance with hospital and oncology care standards
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and families throughout the treatment journey
Requirements of the Travel Nurse:
- Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS, ACLS and Chemo Certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in hematology/oncology nursing
