Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Registered Nurse - Chemotherapy (RN - Chemo Drip) for a Medical Surgical Chemotherapy Certified Oncology role in New York, New York. This position involves providing outpatient chemotherapy infusion services primarily at the Mediport Hub, with float capabilities to infusion areas. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing), at least 1.5 years of chemotherapy administration experience, preferred in an outpatient setting. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is required; Oncology Certification and Chemo Certification are highly preferred.
- Schedule: Four (4) 10-hour shifts per week, flexed Monday through Friday, hours 7am 5pm, with shifts flexed between 6:45am and 8:30pm. No weekends or holidays when the building is closed.
- Float: No float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The position involves skilled infusion in Mediport Hub and infusion areas, with experience in CVAD (Central Venous Access Devices) and Peripheral Venous Access Devices. Flexibility, adaptability, insightfulness, and compassionate teamwork are essential qualities. Specific shift hours are 9.38 hours each.
